MSP430F2418: how to enle the FOTA for MSP430F2418

I assume you're talking about Firmware Over The Air updates?

To be able to update FW over the air you need RF communication features. Within the MSP430 portfolio only the CC430Fxxx devices are equipped with RF on chip, and in more detail, it is an equivalent radio to CC1101, means sub 1GHz.

The other option is to use an MSP430 in combination with an RF device. In this case you could use any MSP430 + an RF Transceiver from TI. This could be an RF only, like CC2500/CC1101, or a complete SoC, like CC13xx/CC26xx.

Yes , i am talking about Firmware Over The Air updates,

but i am going to use the GPRS  4G module instead of RF Transceivers.

please suggest the controller as per that.

many thanks for the additional information. Unfortunately these are not parts from TI and it is not easy to see, which requirements the use of this parts would impose on the µC to enable the use of the respective modules. Thus, if you would like us to make proposals on a suitable MSP430, you need to deliver a list of features and parameters required, then I could help you with selecting the optimum MSP430 derivative.
