MSP430F67451A: About VSD24REF of SD24_B and sampling rate

Genius 5595 points
Part Number: MSP430F67451A

Hi,

My customer has a question about the internal reference voltage (VSD24REF) and sampling rate of SD24_B.

Could you tell us about the following?

1. Is the variation between the minimum value (1.151V) and the maximum value (1.174V) of the internal reference voltage (VSD24REF) due to temperature? Or individual differences?

2. Is the sampling rate setting range up to 2Msps?

In the thread below, it was stated as 2MHz.https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/p/225131/792607

Best regards,

O.H

  • Hi O.H,

    1) Both. The minimum and maximum values take into account variations across temperature from -40 °C to 85 °C, as well as slight variations from IC to IC. Therefore, with the test conditions given in the datasheet, VSD24REF should be between 1.151 V and 1.174 V across temperature and across multiple ICs.

    2) Yes, the sampling rate can be set up to 2 MHz. Please keep in mind that the sampling rate is affected by both the clock speed and the OSR (oversampling ratio). Chapter 29 in the User's Guide provides more details on this:
