I am designing an new project using MSP430FR4133 and a 7-segment LCD . I received an +5V 7-seg LCD. I already ordered the alternative +3V LCD, it will another 7-10 days, in the mean time i want to test my custom hardware. Is it possible to drive a +5V LCD using MSP430FR4133, i am planing to use an level translator (TXB0108PWR) in between LCD and micro controller. is it advisable to do this experiment. Are their any alternative methods or i should abandon this approach and wait for +3V LCD.
iam so foolish to even ask this question. Kindly close this thread. i will wait for 3V LCD
Sai,
Since the MSP430 only supports up to 3.6V, you could use an external 5V level translator, but of course using the 3V LCD will be a cleaner solution. I will close the thread.
