Hello,

We don't have the number. You need test it based on your own design. The detection distance depends on metal area and the concentration of the magnetic field from the inductor. For a reasonable detection distance, the metal area cannot be too small, because a larger has more absorption rate of the magnetic energy from the inductor of the LC sensor.

Yes, water is also conductive. It will impact the inductive of sensor.
