MSP430FR6047: Register UCA0IE not set?

Hi,

I'm using the sampe template "FR6047_USSSWlib_template_example" and made some minor changes to comply with our use case. One of them is the implementation of a proper byte transfer function 'UART_write(&dat, length), which works fine. But trying to get the reive function working I notice(see picture) the UCA0IE(UCRXIE) register is not written??

What could be the mistake?

Hi Laurent,

indeed strange can you please post a picture of the disassembly at this location?

Also did you try to do with a write instead of logical or? Both should work but more for interest.

IE settings don't "stick" when UCSWRST=1. [Ref UG (SLAU367P) Sec 30.3.1]

have you tried the sequence pointed out by Bruce referring especially to point #5 below.

Thanks to all! Indeed, I proved(without knowing nor intend) the enable will not stick if UCSWRST is not cleared first!

Works fine sofar!
