MSP430F6726A: Application note SLAA322D Regarding the conditions in Table 3

Part Number: MSP430F6726A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FE427A

Hi,

MSP430 32-KHz Crystal Oscillator Application Note Table 3

I would like to ask you about the safety factor test results.

The safety factors for each crystal of each company are listed,

but is this result an actual measurement value?

In that case, what are the settings of the registers XCAP and XT1DRIVE?

Are all register settings the default?

Best Regatrds,

Yes. We can find the test platform description in the context.

The test was performed using a MSP430FE427A device populated on a MSPTS430PM64 target board, a platform whose design does not follow the recommendations detailed by this application report. The RQmax value of each crystal was determined by placing a potentiometer in series
followed by testing for the crystal's start and stop allowances. The nearest standard resistor value (±5%) was recorded as general reference.

I think all the register settings are default value.

    Thanks,
