Dear Team

Good day！

Our customer use the MSP430F6721 in their application , they need 2K flash to record their data , they found the Information memory only have 4* 128B , it is not enough ,

So , they want to confirm that

1. whether they can use the BSL flash to save the data .(its volume is 2K)

They had tried to write the data into BSL flash ,but they found that , when the device is reset , read the BSL flash , all data is FF .

2. if the BSL flash can not be used , what about the Peripherals .

Do you have any sample application which take it as the reference ?

Hi,

1. BSL flash can be replaced with customized BSL. But you will face the risk of dead-MCU if you erased BSL and locked the JTAG. WE DONOT RECOMMEND STORE DATA IN BSL.

2. Peripherals memory is the register memory vector. It cannot be used for data store.

Please use F6723 and use memorybank 1 as internal data store. Or if code size is smaller than 16K, you can use F6721 and memory bank 1.

Dear li ,

Thanks for your reply , Our customer think that the Bank 1 will be suitable for their application . But they do not know how to use the memorybank 1 , do you have any sample code of how to erase and write the memorybank 1 , they do not know the memory address .
