Hi.

I have ordered and received an MSP-TS430RGC64C (evaluation module) along with MSP430F5229 uC.

By the way, we have decided to use MSP430F5237.

According to your website, free sample is not available and the price of 1ku is shown for several options.

For now, I want to purchase a low quantity of VQFN package (either MSP430F5237IRGCR or MSP430F5237IRGCT) - (quantity of 10 or 20).

Can I directly order from TI or is it still necessary to contact a distributor?

Contact Mouser, Digikey or Newark/Element14. They're low-quantity friendly.

You could also order samples of MSP430F5249. That is the superset device for the F523x/524x series.

Did you mean to recommend the MSP430F5239 for Jason perhaps? This would be the superset part that would work for him.

HI Rick,

F5239 is not available for sampling.

F523x and F524x are covered under the same DS. F5244 and '49 are the sample devices. '49 would then be the superset device over all members of F523x and F524x.

Hi Michael,

Please go back and fix your post that you verified as the correct answer. You gave the part number as F5429, and the correct number would be F5249. The two middle digits are swapped. That caused a bunch of confusion. Please go back and edit that post, in order to correct the thread.
