printf issue on MSP430F5529LP

using printf isn't recommended. Try printing the messages on UART instead.

Yes. I already did.

You cannot use printf to print messages onto UART. Printf prints the message onto console.

You need to configure the UART(Baud Rate, Parity, Stop bits, etc.,) and send the message byte by byte. I suggest you look at example projects at CCS -> View - > Resource Explorer -> MSPWare -> Devices -> MSP430F5xx/6xx -> Code Examples -> MSP430F552x -> UART examples.

You should not, but you can. - If you override fputc() and fputs() functions accordingly. Link you gave actually have instructions.
