I wrote a program using the MSP430 launchpad. Everything works great when the MCU is on the launchpad. but I now want to take the programmed MSP430G2553 off of the launchpad and place it into one of my personally designed circuits. When attempting to do so the MCU does not work. Going off of the MSP430 launchpad users guide, I seem to not need anything other than what I have already shown below.
The following is my circuit.
Where PC7, and PC6 are UART and P1.0, P1.3, P1.4, P1.5, P1.6, P1.7 are Input GPIO's.
What can/should I be doing that I am not? I am using soft UART, is it possible that I need to configure something for that?
