EVM430-I2040S: EVM430-I2040S

Part Number: EVM430-I2040S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430I2040

Hello there,

I recently received the MSP430i2040 EVM, sub-metering module. The package includes a CD, which has an example code. I don't seem to understand the code at all (I would simply like to turn On a LED when the current measurement is complete, have an interval and turn it back off). I started looking into the application note, which says that I need to request the source code from the sales team of Texas Instruments (page 9 of slaa638). So, i am turning to the Texas Instruments community.

I would really appreciate any help regarding this issue, the source code, documents, online pages, etc.

Thanks in advance

With Warm Regards

  • Hello,

Please refer to the following thread for why the source code is not provided and how this doesn't impact the overall functionality. I would encourage you to reach out to the TI sales team in your region.

For configuring the LEDs, keep in mind that the code does use LEDs for different indications, so you'll have to go through the 'emeter-template.h' file to reconfigure the LED you want to manually add in the code. Also, when you make this change, you'll need to rebuild all the projects to ensure the changes take effect.

    Regards,

    James
