MSP430FR6047: Get GUI up and running

Part Number: MSP430FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EVM430-FR6047,

Hello,

I have the EVM430-FR6047 v1.0, installed the US Design Center 1.60.01.14 and programmed the USSLib_GUI_Demo (01.20.00.14) on the MSP430FR6047.
I started the GUI and I can connect. But it stated: "HID Bridge connected -- waiting for device". If I press Start under Waveforms nothing happen.
I load the Audiowell config file. I see the new values in the GUI but nothing more happen.

Regards, Holger

  • Hello Holger,

If the GUI is saying "HID Bridge Connected - waiting for device", the problem could be that the jumpers are not populated properly.  The MSP430FR6047 uses an I2C interface for the updated USS Design Center GUI, where the original 1.0 HW and GUI used UART.  Please ensure that the 3 I2C jumpers are populated on J5(this is located below the buttons).  If it successfully connects, the "waiting for device" message should change to "Connected to MSP430FR6047 Evaluation Module".  Give that a try and let me know if that works.

  • Hi Eddie,

I have the EVM430-FR6047 v2.0, and I have connected successfully. However, it can not display waveforms correctly on GUI.Error Message show: "No signal detected in up and downstream channel".

I can catch the waveform from the oscillograph. Is there some problems with my parameter settings?

    Regards, Leonard

  • that works, thx. Holger
