430BOOST-SHARP96: 430BOOST-SHARP96

Part Number: 430BOOST-SHARP96

I ordered two of these Booster Packs.  One failed to function after several days of use on same CC1350 LaunchPad.

  • Could you please give a little bit more detail on the issues you are seeing with the LCD Boosterpack and the debug steps you have already taken:

Is it only one Booster Pack that is not working? Have you tried swapping the Booster Pack to the known working Launchpad LCD stackup to ensure that the problem is isolated to the specific LCD EVM? Checked to make sure that the LCD flex cable is fully inserted into the socket on the back of the Booster Pack?

  • Hello Matt,

I purchased two cc1350 LaunchPads and two BoosterPacks. Installed display.c on both LaunchPads using Code Composer. All worked fine for several days then one of the LCD displays died. ( No ti Logo on startup and no messages on the display. ) Removed faulty BoosterPack and replaced with working BoosterPack. It worked fine. Then installed faulty BoosterPack on the LaunchPad where I had removed the good one but it still was dead. Voltage to the BoosterPack measured 3.33 volts which is correct. Put a breakpoint at line 110 of display.c to see if the LaunchPad recognized the BoosterPack which it did. Switched things around several times and now the good BoosterPack's is dead. After fifty years of designing circuits and programming computers I'm not exactly a novice. ( Very familiar with Particle Photon and Electron devices. ) Probably need to send BoosterPacks back to TI for trouble shooting.

    Thanks for your quick response,
