EVM430-FR6047: HSPLL verification error at 3.4 MHz ADC sampling rate

Part Number: EVM430-FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR6047

Hi,

I have a strange problem while changing the ADC sampling time for optimal accuracy. Whenever I use 3.4MHz ADC sampling rate I get an error USS_message_code_HSPLL_verification_expected_count_error while the demo code is calibrating the HSPLL. What could be the reason for that?

I tried, 3.6, 4 and 8MHz which all have no problems.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Thibault

  • Thibault,

Can you please send a screen capture of your parameters and advanced parameters tab?  I am able to set to 3.4MHz with oversampling set to 20 without errors.  I can double check all your other configuration settings.

    Hi ,

Of course, here are the settings:

But you have to restart the MSP430FR6047 by pressing the MCU_RESET button on the EVM430 for the error to come up as it might only calibrate/verify at start.

Do you get the same result?

    UPDATE: I have version 02_10_00_05.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,
    Thibault
