MSP430F2274-EP: supply V vs. system frequency

Part Number: MSP430F2274-EP

Team,

My customer has the following question:

For this device, the supply voltage vs system frequency is defined in the DS as:

Can you please confirm for me whether 3.3V is the minimum voltage for operation at 16 MHz?

As you can appreciate, 3.3V is most commonly a nominal voltage rail. But this table implies that we should be setting our rail for 3.45V nominal.

Any clarification/confirmation would be appreciated.

  • Aaron,

Yes, you will need to have the minimum voltage be 3.3V.

I am basing this interpretation on this post:

It is essentially the same question on a different device series with the requirements table based vs graphical.
