Why would I want to use the 32-Bit Hardware Multiplier (MPY32)? Is it faster? Do I want to use it for sixteen and eight bit multiplications? Any other reasons?

Hello Thomas,
The advantage of using MPY32 is that it is a peripheral and not part of the CPU, so it wont affect CPU operations when it is used. The hardware multiplier is also faster and more efficient. See the documentation and blog below which has some examples.
