Part Number: MSP430FR5994

Hi

Recently i evaluated MSP430FR5994 Eval kit using inbuilt libraries. Once build process completes, it generates an out file. When out file loaded into IC through programmer, it worked well.

1. In General project settings, the output format is eabi (ELF) file but i couldn't find any such file after build process. Please clarify.

2. What is the purpose of makefile which is generated along with outfile in Release folder. In MSP430 i considered , i'm not using any OS components. Please reply.

Hi Bivin,

1. ELF is the file format the output executable file is stored in.

2. The makefile defines the rules for how the project is built.

You can find more detailed information on how Code Composer uses all these things in the Code Composer User's Guide.
