LAUNCHXL2-RM57L: RM57Lx Launchpad Ethernet based bootloader.

Hello Aron,

You can use the code developed on LC43x device on RM57x with very minor changes. As you know, RM57Lx is a little endian device, but TMS570LC43x is a big endian device. TI has example of ethernet bootloader for bother TMS570 devices and RMx devices. I am not able to logon my lab machine right now. I will post the example later after I get it from my lab machine.

So to run the LC43x based code I only need to change the endianness of the project in Code Composer studio? or where do I needd to make changes? Like the whole hardware abstraction layer code part needs to be corrected to match the endianness?

And do you have any answer for my other question, that on hardware side that the LAUNCHXL2-RM57L is fully compatible to run ethernet based bootloaders as it is? Or would I need any external devices to the ethernet line like any kind of multiplexer or anything else?

I found the ethernet bootloader for RM4x part, and it is based on lwip 1.3.2 rather than 1.4.1. We don't have ethernet bootloader for RM57x.

I will upload the bootloader for RM4x for your reference

I don't have plan to update this bootloader for lwip 1.4.1.
