DRV8231: TVS diode or freewheeling diode on OUT pin

For DRV8231 or DRV8251, do we need to add TVS diode or freewheeling diode on OUT pin？

Hi,

Thank you for your question. DRV8231 forward diode on FET, therefore external TVS diode is not needed.

Hi,

Yes. As datasheet parameter SPEC, DRV8231 can meet ESD rating.
