DRV8837: dead time

Hello,

The datasheet for the DRV8837 does not list a dead time, is there a reason for this?
The similar DRV8212P has a parameter regarding dead time.

It was just not part of the characterization test done for the datasheet specifications table.

Hi DDdoor,

I'm honestly not sure. This part was released before I join TI. I would have to ask the test and validation engineers who worked on this device to get an accurate answer.

We might have some data we collected but decided not to include in the datasheet for some reason. I can check our database for this specification but I can't guarantee I will find it.

Do you need to know the dead time for your application design?

Hello Pablo,

The customer considers dead time to be one of the indicators of motor driver performance.
