Hi Experts,

Seeking your assistance on this query from Cx:

Can you please let me know whether DRV8844PWP can drive battery operated DC motor?

If yes, can we connect 6 motors to one driver with motor parallel connection.

    Archie,

    As long as the battery voltage is within the range of the voltage specifications in the datasheet, this is no problem.

    As long as the current required to drive 6 parallel motors is within the range of the current specification in the datasheet, also no problem.

    We have plenty of higher power options as well like the DRV8243/4/5 or DRV8873/74.

    Is there any temperature concerns we need to consider while connecting 6 motors into single driver?
    Can you please share your inputs on this?
    Or is it better to connect only two DC motors to a single driver?

    Archie,

    You will need to provide more information on the current profile for each motor and see which driver would be able to provide the total current.
