UC2625-EP: Acceleration/Torque Control of BLDC motor

Part Number: UC2625-EP

Hi

The circuit follows Voltage control mode of UC2625-EP. How to control the acceleration rate of the motor in Voltage control mode.

For our end application, the torque or acceleration of the motor has to be reduced for the same desired RPM i.e. 4900 RPM.

  • Hi Booshan,

The way the feedback loop works is that when the PWM_IN pin voltage is greater than the E/A OUT voltage, then the PWM comparator will go high which will reset the SR latch and cause the outputs to chop. For speed control to set a desired RPM, using the TACHOUT pin as feedback and comparing it to a set reference voltage seems to be the best option.

I came across an app note for this device that may be helpful: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua106/slua106.pdf
