Set Itrip with VREF and Rsense to be above the maximum current used in the application. Itrip would only be achieved in an over current condition. The Rsense voltage would be sensed by an external circuit which would PWM the inputs to the DRV8251, IN1 and IN2. This external control loop would be the primary PWM control for current regulation. does not state that the ON pin can be connected directly to VIN instead of a GPIO controller. Can I successfully connect the ON pin to VIN and properly control inrush current during a hot plug in VIN.
