    Hi Shinichi, 

    For configuring the EXT_CLK pin of the MCT8316A1V, it is best to leave it floating when not in use.

    In cases like this when the datasheet does not provide enough specific application information, you can look at the evaluation module (EVM) design files to see how our EVM is configured. The datasheet is the best source for application information and should be trusted over everything else, however, the EVM design files is a great place to find answers to these types of questions. https://www.ti.com/tool/MCT8316AEVM#design-files
