A customer is taking a look at DRV8912-Q1 to see if they can use it as H/S or L/S switch, and is currently asking a question about Low-current Active OLD.
For open load detection, they should use Low-current Active OLD for 1mA level detection. However, Table7 in the datasheet says “Only applicable for the current flowing in the low-side FETs.“ Does it mean that this mode can be used only for L/S switch? And is it not possible to detect the OLD in H/S switch?
On the other hand, the electrical characteristics shows that both H/S and L/S are possible for the OLD detection. Is this statement right or wrong?
