DRV3256-Q1: Can we get the PWM gate signals without programming the DRV3256-Q

DRV3256-Q1 is programmable gate driver, here my question is, can we get the PWM gate signals without programming the DRV3256-Q1 through SPI (our concern is we are new to programmable gate drivers, we initially we go with basic gate driver functionality in our system then we enable the features of it in sequentially).

    Hermanth,

    Unfortunately SPI communication is needed to operate the PWM and gate output. At minimum you need the following:

    Register IC_CTRL_1 contains bit ENABLE_DRV which must be written High to enable the gate drive output.

    This command can be sent by any MCU or even a USB2ANY which you can order on TI.com
