DRV2605: Do we have alternative solution to compete DW7912?

Is DRV2605 a suitable solution to replace DW7912 or we have other product is more fit?

Hi Alex,

I believe DRV2624 is our closest match to DW7912. DRV26X5 devices have ROM memory with an integrated waveform library while DRV26X4 devices have RAM memory that allow the user to integrate their own waveforms. Also, DRV262X devices have a few more enhanced features compared to DRV260X devices.

The application is automotive (OEM is BENZ). Do we have Q grade for DRV2624?

Hi Alex,

Both devices have real time playback mode, memory stored waveforms, I2C operation, a hardware trigger, and over current protection. Specs to highlight are that DRV2605L-Q1 has a wider input voltage range, automatic resonance tracking for LRAs and feedback-optimized driving for ERMs, automatic overdrive and braking, and auto-to-vibe mode. Seems the DW7912 datasheet is hidden, so this is as much of a comparison that I can do. Hope this is helpful!
