Hi Team,

We would like to learn about what is the DRV8908-Q1 internal MOSFET VDS voltage range? And what is the transient power of the diode inside the MOSFET.

    Hi Frank,

    The internal VDS MOSFET voltage range is rated the same as the device parameters. The maximum rated motor voltage for this device is 40V, so in this case, the VDS voltage range should not exceed 40 V. 

    The body diode is rated the same as the FET. 

    Each half-bridge (OUTx) of the DRV89XX-Q1 device is designed to handle RMS current of 1 A and the peak current is limited by the minimum over-current (OCP) limit of 1.3-A. That being said, the diode current should not exceed OCP limit. 

    Thermal and power dissipation formulas can be found in section 9.3 of the datasheet for any more information on power loss.
