Hello, is the DRV8316C-Q1 suitable for use on a 28V bus with peak phase voltage 35.4V?

Hey Philip,

The DRV8316C-Q1 has a recommended rated operating VM voltage of 35V. With an ABS max rating of 40V.

35.4V will be technically outside of the recommended voltage. Will this be an issue? We can recommend other driver's if that is the case.

Hi Akshay,

I am looking at the DRV8332-HT now but there is a discrepancy between your product webpage and the datasheet.

The description at the top of the page says "70-V max, 9.7A peak 3-phase motor driver for high temperature applications".

The table of product details says "Peak output current 13A"

And the Rev B datasheet says "Up to 5 A Continuous Phase Current (7 A Peak)"

Could you please advise the true spec for peak and continuous phase current?

You are correct there is a discrepancy between the product page info and the DS. Please refer to the DS spec for the correct parameters.
