DRV8329-Q1: Working principle of trickle charge pump

Hi team,

I find there is a trickle charge pump function that can support 100% PWM duty cycle. I would like to know the working principle of it, do you have related materials that can share with me?

Besides, I saw a picture in the page 47 of datasheet, it shows that the PWM waveforms will distorte in 100% duty cycle. So I would like to confrim whether 100% duct cycle can continue to run for several hours?

Hi Ethan,

The datasheet states that this device can support 100% duty cycle. It is difficult to answer how many hours the device can support 100% duty cycle since this often times can be dependent on board design. Please keep in mind the following note from section 8.2.1.1.2 Bootstrap Capacitor and GVDD Capacitor Selection in the datasheet
