DRV8301 GVDD

(We've got the components soldered on but aren't getting any voltages out of GVDD, AVDD or DVDD. We're pretty certain our solder connections are sound.)

The components are at PVDD1 (2.2uF, 0.1uF 100V) , CP1, CP2 (.022uF)

The bypass capacitors for DVDD, AVDD, and GVDD should be populated and the nFAULT / OCTW pins should be pulled high. CP1 / CP2 capacitor should also be populated. GVDD can then be measured on the GVDD Pin with all the device inputs low and EN_GATE high.

Thanks for the quick response. One more question: Do AVDD and GVDD require nFAULT and OCTW pulled high?

Hi Angela,

I recommend populating the pull-up resistors because it will make any potential debug easier. When you bring EN_GATE high if there is an issue with the GVDD regulator (or any other fault with the device) this will be reported through the FAULTn pin.

We would like to know if it is required to pull up OCTW and nFAULT in order to see voltages at AVDD and DVDD?
