TLC5941: Powerpad Connection

HI there,

What the the preferred connection for the powerpad/ thermal pad on the TLC5941. I have seen an E2E post that ground is okay...and the Q100 flavour shows a ground connection in the layout diagram..

but what is the preferred connection?
