LM5060 does not provide short-circuit protection. Please consider LM5069 as discussed in the below thread

Dear Rakesh, I checked the https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/883030/lm5069-bidirectional-switch-for-capacitive-load---schematic-review But I have some questions. In the back_to_back_lm5069.pdf , Lets say we have a output capacitance around 5-10mF Vout ( EL_RIGHT_MES ) and the input voltage around 36V ( EL_LEFT_MES ). When I applied to Enable signal to both of them from UVLO pin. U1 will be enabled through the charge pump but U2 ( second LM5069) will not be enable immediately because Q2 intrinsic body diode should charge the output capacitances.

At least the output capacitance should be charged to 30V ( or around it) to drive the Q2 mosfet. 30V +12V(charge pump ) =42V 

42V-36V=6V(with respect to the mosfet source) can drive the Q2 mosfet ( actually it depends on the gate plat. point.)

Am I right ?

What do you mean by swapping U1 and U2 ?

What if the output hold-up capacitance (EL-RIGHT-MES) charged to 16V(example) and input voltage is 36V, what will happen to VIN pin of ICs ? What will be a VIN pin voltages ?
