TPS2561A: Output capacitor discharge

I have a question about the circuit that supplies power from the output of TPS2561A to USB_VBUS.

When the output of TPS2561A is turned off, the electric charge accumulated in the output capacitor is not discharged and the high potential is maintained.

Is it okay to add a 10kΩ resistor in parallel with the output capacitor?Does it violate the USB_VBUS standard?

The board was manufactured with reference to the data sheet Typical Application circuit of TUSB8042A.

I have a check of the spec. Don't have specific regulation on this item. So what's the concern about the high voltage potential? Reverse or harmful to other devices?

Hi,

thank you for your answer.
I was worried about whether it would deviate from the USB_VBUS standard.
There seems to be no problem, so I decided to review the board product specifications.
If there is no problem with the remaining charge on the VBUS, I don't care.
If you don't like the charge remaining on the VBUS, add a resistor and discharge it.
