Whether TPS51116 can be used to replace TPS51200 due to non-availability of TPS51200 for termination of DDR3 on AM5728?

have you checked TPS51200-Q or TPS51200-EP? They are P2P compatible.

TPS51116 can support DDR3, but it has different footprint, control scheme and characteristic.

Yes, I checked but lead-time is Jan/Feb 2022.

I am assembling the board by Oct 2021. Since stock was not there I did not give clearance for fabrication. Hence I have decided to change the layout if TPS51116 can support termination of DDR3 on AM5728

Hi Pavithra,

TPS51200 is a LDO.

TPS51116 is a buck converter including a LDO.

If you just plan to use LDO function of TPS5116, it can support DD3 with a different layout and control.
