TL431: FAB location

Hi all,

My customer asked us to confirm the manufacturing location.
Is there a difference in FAB location between TL431AIDR and TL431BIDRG4?
If these two products are produced in different FABs, what could be the location?

My understanding is that A-Grade and B-Grade are just the differences that have been screened in the test. If TL431 is produced by multiple FABs, I am wondering if there is a possibility of different FABs when it reaches my customer.

I am not sure if I can answer your question because of TI's policy on confidentiality regarding where we manufacture our products. Let me ask around and get back to you.

It is my understanding that the different grades of TL431 is because of internal trim of the bandgap and not differences that are screened at test.

I understand how to make a difference in GRADE.

I would like to know if there is a possibility of manufacturing with multiple FABs.

Hi Toshi,

They are from the same fab and both variants have different mask sets.
