TPS650864: TPS65086401 BUCK2 Specifications

Part Number: TPS650864

Hi,

I am looking at the specifications for the BUCK2 controller:

My FPGA device is Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ XCZU3CG with VCCINT = 0.85V (0.825 ~ 0.876V)

  1. In datasheet, it states that the DC + ripple for output <1V, Iout=10mA will be -30/+40mV. How does this DC+ripple changes against the Iout? Normally VCCINT will have current much more than 10mA.
  2. The DC accuracy is across -40 ~ 85degC, would the accuracy better in a more typical ambient temperature range of 10 ~ 40degC? Is there any reference data or plot to show that?
  3. The stated load regulation of 0~1% applies to 0.85V?
  4. Is there any other possible factors / conditions to improve or maintain the accuracy within +/-2%.

Please advice as this is critical to our design to meet the tight Ztarget and IR drop requirement for o.85V VCCINT, since the TPS65086401 is meant for compliant with ZU3CG .

  • Hi,

Using the appropriate inductance and capacitance as well as following the design guidelines in this checklist will optimize performance of this device.

Additionally, Historically, these devices have been seen to be used together very successfully.

For using this device outside of the specified cases in the datasheet, you can expect similar performance to the cases characterized in the datasheet

    Thanks,
