Other than flash memory (EEPROM) based digital devices, BQ25710 uses digital flip-flops as register memory.
BQ25710 register is fast to read and write, and has no limitation on number of write cycles.
During power on, BQ25710 resets the register settings to default values. An embedded controller (EC) or host controller (HC) is needed to write a new value. When both input and battery power are gone, the old register settings are lost.
