LM5022: LM5022 CURRENT LIMIT

The data sheet says that when the cs pin of the lm5022 becomes 0.5V, it does not work.

So I shorted it to allow overcurrent to flow.

However, the voltage on the cs pin does not rise to 0.5V and the operation does not stop.

Can you tell me why??


*INPUT : 14.1V~32V OUTPUT : 12V 1A

Hi Seung,

Sorry for the delay. Can you clarify if you shorted the CS pin, or output?

Additionally, can you provide signals from OUT, CS, and VOUT when there is short vs no short?

One more new question.

The output ripple is like the picture.

Can you tell me how to reduce the ripple?

Hi Seung,

Sorry for the delay. Maybe I'm not understanding your waveform correctly, but it looks like the output voltage is very stable. That slight ringing there could be due to noise from a probing issue. Can you try probing again with a short ground lead, and zoomed-out photo to see if ripple is periodic?
