UC3846: how to avoid unbalance in half bridge converter

Dear Jerry,

Please find specifications as below:

Input Voltage: 170V AC to 280VAC, 50+/- 5Hz,

Output : 54.6V DC @15A

Application: EV charger to charge lithium ion battery.

Regulation:+/-1%.

Topology: Halfbridge (note: We have not used PFC at input side, Raw DC bus after LC filter is connecting to Half bridge)

Our main issue : Half bridge MOSFETs are getting failed intermediately when load (resistive load) is connecting and disconnecting on output side with on/off time around 1 sec with help of MCB in the positive path of output DC.

Hi Bhima,

UC3846 can support maximum input voltage 40V. UCC28251 is suitable for 36V-75V. Your input voltage is too high.

The specifications provided is meant for our unit that is AC to DC converter (Half bridge_topology). We are providing +15V to UC3846N.
