LM5022-Q1: Input MLC Capacitors Got Burnt and resulted in Short Circuit.

Part Number: LM5022-Q1

Due to some Unkown reasons, the input Capacitors C5, C6 2.2uF 100V X7R got burnt and then resulted in a short circuit.

Noticed some cracks on the capacitors. Trying to investigate the reason for this issue so that corrective actions could be taken.

Hi Reddy,

can you add some more details about the operating conditions:

- input supply

- output voltage and current.

- how long did the board operate before the failure?

- Have you measured the voltage on the capacitors - how does the waveform look like
