How is relationship between VIN and VOU

for example, i want to design a circuit that  OUTPUT is  6V .

The VIN minimum is 6+(voltage reference 0.8)=6.8V right?

    Hello, you are interested in the dropout behavior of the device it sounds.

    You can approximate required vin for 6V regulation by:

    6V = Vin - .410*Iout - LDCR*Iout

    LDCR is DCR of output filter inductor.

    I am also considering the Vdrop from power FET at max duty cycle, which is close to 100%. This is an approximation.
