TPS61096A: Wants to know the inductor selection

Hi expert, 

This is Koki Tsushima.

My customer wants to know the proper inductance value.

Q.1

What is the meaning of the minimal of the last sentence?  - Is it the recommended min, which is 1uH?

Q.2

Is this calc.(3)  the formula for calculation of peak inductor peak current?

 Q.3

On the EVM, it was used for 1.5A inductor. But customer wants to adopt inductor for lower current for ILIM : 500mA. 

Is it OK?

    Q1: Yes, the recommended min value is 1uH.

    Q2: The equation (3) calculates the maximum switching frequency. The inductor peak current is selected by ILIM pin.

    Q3: It's OK to use this 1.5A  inductor for lower current for ILIM: 500mA

    Q.4 If user wants to use ILIM=high (= 500mA), what is the min of rated current of inductor?

        Because user has to select the bigger than ILIM as follows, therefore, is it 600mA?

     

    Q.5 Do you have any other concerns for selecting L such as delay detection time etc.?

    [WW]The minimum inductor saturation current rating should be 0.6A+some margin. Typically I choose 20% margin.

    Q.5 Do you have any other concerns for selecting L such as delay detection time etc.?

    [WW]I did not see relation between inductor selection and delay detection from inductor selection.
