Dear all, 

We are having EMI issue with LM5170 and would like to check with you on the following questions. 

1. Is there a layout guide for LM5170?

2. May I check with you about the connection between PGND and AGND?

  • In the datasheet, the EP connect to AGND with a small path and EP connect to PGND with a small path.
  • In the EVM Board Guide, the EP is AGND and EP connects to PGND with a small path.

Which one is preferable to be used?

    Hello Jack,

    We don't have a separated layout guidelines. But the related sections in both datasheet and EVM user's guide are good references.

    EP is the AGND. The datasheet figure does not do the whole board layout so it does not show the full connection. EVM is a good reference in this case.
