TPS65218: How to get TPS65218-1.2 in the "Select Device" drop-down menu in IPG-UI

Hi Brenda,

I've just downloaded IPG-UI and in when go to "Select Device" I do not have the TPS65218-1.2 in the drop-down menu. As I result that I have only TPS65218-1.1, I do not have in the "Device Control" the "PROGRAM" tab.

I made the download and installation from https://www.ti.com/tool/IPG-UI (selected the one for Windows)

I also unistalled it and re-installed, still no TPS65218-1.2...

Please help - how to get in the "Select Device" drop-down menu the version I need, TPS65218-1.2?

Hi Niculina,

Thank You for using E2E. The latest IPG-UI support programming files for TPS65218x can be downloaded from the following link:

BOOSTXL-TPS65218 IPG-UI Device Support File.

Once you run the executable (.exe), it will generate the GUI files to program the TPS65218x PMIC. Please let me know if you see any issues.

Thanks for the VERY fast feedback!

2 more questions:

1) I'm using the eval board TPS65218EVM-100 and not the BoosterPack, should I understand that the file you indicated is working for this eval board too?

2) I tried the link all day long today :-( and it hangs in a infinite loop.. Is it the site down or something?

Hi Niculina,

The same GUI should work with both, the EVM as well as the programming BoosterPack. If the previous link wasn't working for you, please try the following: https://www.ti.com/tool/BOOSTXL-TPS65218. Then, click on "Order & start development" and download file name "BOOSTXL-TPS65218 IPG-UI Device Support File".

Thanks for the valuable info.

The link you mentioned is the one I also used before. I tried it again, with no results...

The link does not seem to work, I cannot download the file, can you?

Hi Niculina,

Can you try https://www.ti.com/ (the main Texas Instruments website) and type "BOOSTXL-TPS65218" in the search?

According to our IT you have a server problem there, as the message is slvc750.zip - Failed- Server problem

I could assume that the other files, such as for USB2ANY and IPG-UI are on another server, as I can download (the msi files) and install.

If you could report this problem, as a customer cannot access this file and therefore no installation, etc., it might help.

Nevertheless, you answer my question.

Hi Niculina,

Could you check with your IT team again? I don't see any issues on my end. I downloaded the "SLVC750.ZIP" folder again from my TI laptop and also from my personal laptop and did not see any issues.

Hi Brenda,

It is security SW,here in my location ca't be downloded.. But I asked one of my colleagues in Grenoble, and I have it know.

Both SLVC750 (TPD65218-1.2 support device) and SLVC620h (IPG-UI) must be installed. Everything fine now, thank you!
