TPS23730: TPS23730

Part Number: TPS23730
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-050045

Hi

I am about reference design TIDA-050045

Schematic has some not clear place - around p/n of T2

Transformer of Wurth 750313638 looks as a wrong p/n. We see another p/n on the picture. It is LDT8627

Can you answer what is the real p/n of T2? Can it be replaced? For example on the Wurth 750319033

Picture has some other mismatches with BOM and reference schematic

L8? 3.3uH or 15 uH ?

Can you show a picture of 5V reference pcb?

Thank you

  • Hello,

. The schematic, BOM, layout and Assembly list are correct on TI.com. The TIDA-050045 is built on the same board as the TPS23730EVM-093. The difference is a BOM change.

Don't follow the picture, follow the design files.

For the 750319033 , that's a really loose question. If you are saying you are going to copy the TIDA-050045 except for the transformer -- absolutely cannot use it. If you're planning to remake the design, then maybe, but it is unclear what the input voltage range is or what the power level is. If you design to use the 750319033 then you can probably use it.

Please see the following paper for Active Clamp Forward design: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua535a/slua535a.pdf?ts=1647880682827
