BQ24103: Temperature rise issue of the IC

Part Number: BQ24103

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

The customer is developing a BQ24103-based charger. Input: 10V 2A. IC output current: 2 A.

During the charging process, the surface temperature of the IC rises up to 120°C, is this proper?  If not, is there any way to reduce the temperature rise?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry
