TPS2399: FET Damage

Hi Expert,

Customer used TPS2399 + PDH09C6BH MOSFET and see the FET would have chance to be damaged during like within 10times hotswap test. Would you please review the FET spec, schematic and excel design spreadsheet(we are not sure what we filled in are all correct) and let us know what might be possible causes and how to resolve it?

Hi Allan,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The MOSFET with higher SOA needs to be selected. I have tried with maximum RSNS of 15 mΩ (minimum nominal current limit of 2.67 A), still the cell E94 is negative. CSD19536KTT might be an option for the recommended MOSFET.
