LM5005: LM25005 used as pin for pin replacement of LM25005

Part Number: LM5005
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25005,

Hello,

We have a circuit board in production that uses the LM5005MH/NOPB as a 24VDC to 5.5VDC converter  (0.5A to 2A depending upon application) .

Our production is halted due to the limited supply of the LM5005.   It looks like the LM25005 maybe a pin for pin compatible part given our input is at 24Vdc, and it is readily available from distribution.

Is this the case:  Are these two pin for pin given the input DC is 24V.     Any differences other than input range between the two parts where we would need to do a full up evaluation/test of how the 25005 operates using the previous design choices for the 5005 (inductor, capacitors, etc, etc)???

Schematic is directly below.

Thanks for your help.

Mike
