TPS54561: TPS54561 Oscillator type is a voltage controlled oscillator or not?

Hi TI

I want to know that TPS54561 Oscillator type is a voltage controlled oscillator or not? Like ADI LTC3707 which supports switching frequency selection continously by PLLFLTR PIN voltage . thanks.

Hi,

The RT/CLK pin does not operate the same way as the LTC3707.

The TPS54561 can be configured with a resistor to ground to set a switching frequency or externally connected to a clock signal to synchronize the the new frequency. A DC voltage into the RT/CLK pin would not change the oscillator frequency.

TPS54561 supports a changing of the switching frequecy continously when using external synchronous clock ?

Or the switching frequency could be changed during working state ?

The TPS54561 should be able to change in accordance with the external synchronous clock. The rising edge of the SW will be synchronized to the falling edge of the RT/CLK pin signal.
